Water and Sanitation in 2021

The publication “Water and Sanitation in 2021 - Overview and prospects after the passing of the new Sanitation Legal Framework 14,026/2020”, analyzing what happened to Brazil’s sanitation policy a little more than one year after the approval of this legal framework, in July 2020. The document continues the IAS (Water and Sanitation Institute) commitment to monitor, produce and organize knowledge and disseminate information through annual studies on the main water and sanitation events in Brazil (progress or setbacks). The initial publication, Saneamento 2020 [Water and Sanitation in 2020], marked the beginning of the activities of the IAS, with an overview of the industry’s past in Brazil and the water and sanitation situation immediately prior to the approval of the new Sanitation Legal Framework.
